With more than 35,000 pieces of his work completed to date; his prolific artwork continues to blossom in new directions. Combining classic and innovative woodworking techniques, these abstract geometrical inlays incorporate several categories of inlay work.
 

Briefly, exotic woods are cut into strips approximately 1/4" thick. These strips are cut with either a miniature table saw or scroll saw to form the geometric or abstract images on the tops of each box.  These are glued to a plywood backer for strength, then trimmed & fit into the wooden frames he makes.  The hollow block then has its edges rounded and sanded and the lid is cut off.  It is then hinged, oiled and lined.
