Statement:
As a potter I am primarily concerned in making my art as functional and utilitarian as the medium allows without distraction from the clay's natural aesthetic qualities. Being a production potter I mass produce items but in no way do I generalize my pots. Each pot is handled separately and carefully to maintain the highest level of craftsmanship throughout. My focus is blending form and function into a vessel that is then glazed to bring out my desired intention of having my pots handled, looked at, and used.
Type of Ceramics:
The majority of my work is cone 10 stoneware fired with a reduction atmosphere in a gas fired kiln. I also do decorative pieces in raku.
